It is used as thickening and gelling agent in desserts (pies, jams, jellies, custards, creams, sorbets and juices). Also to thicken sauces, soups and purées. Because of its high purity is also used in research (microbiology). One tablespoon of agar agar flakes can thicken 1 liter of liquid, boiling 8 minutes. 100% vegetable. It is satisfying and low in calories.
Boil 8 minutes.
To make gelatin hard consistency: 1 ½ tablespoon per liter of liquid.
For consistency of flan: 1 tablespoon per gallon.
Allow to cool.
